After the cabinetry install, we have started installing the light fixtures in the home.
The Owners had this gorgeous chandelier for many many years and just knew it had to be installed in their new home!

The steps and hand rail stain have been designed to match the Foyer
marble and chandelier. The Owners went with a simple yet elegant design that
really makes the Foyer pop!

While the inside of the home is shaping up we are working on the exterior. Here you can see the almost finished product of the retaining wall to hold back the dirt to allow
for the new driveway. This interlocking block system is beautiful.

Before we can pour the asphalt we have to make sure that everything necessary
is in place. Here you can see that we have built the gate columns out of the same
stone we have around the house to make it look uniform.

Then finally the asphalt can be installed.
This is a major process and very tedious work for these contractors
as its their job to make sure the driveway is completely smooth!

We are visiting a slab yard today to look around at all the different
countertop options. We took samples of each tile and cabinet color to help us
make sure the colors work in each space.

When selecting each countertop we thought about the aftercare that the different surfaces such as quartz, granite & marble will need over time and
made sure the Owner understood what was required of them.

This is always a fun experience and we make sure the Owner’s
have a great time selecting all their wants!

A Retreat In The Woods

Here we have a new design in the works. This brand-new house is located on a fully wooded lot outside Easton, Md.
This house will have a wraparound deck with great views of the forest and a 2-story great room that will be the hit of the town.

We also have a detached workshop with everything needed to create anything the Owner can imagine. Construction will begin as soon as we can get the blueprints done and a permit!

The lighting in a home, truly makes or breaks the space. This is one of the
hardest phases in the whole construction process of the house and we spent
weeks planning on where every single light goes before it gets wired. Here you
can see the elegant choices that the Homeowner has chosen for her dining room.
The ceiling is truly a work of art in itself.

Down in the Basement Foyer, we have chosen to light up each box so that the Homeowner may use this to display art or maybe figurines.

Even the wet bar in the Master bedroom gets special lighting to match the light up tray in the ceiling. Not only does the cabinet lighting provide a nice option for ambient lighting but it also provides a practical option to illuminate a space without the harsh glow of all the other lights in the room.

On the inside of the house, we are laying tile and getting ready to install the cabinetry in every room. The Owners have chosen some beautiful tiles that have
designs rather than trying to make the designs out of the tiles.
Here you can see the Master bathroom floor is coming along nicely.

Here you can see the tiles going down in the Kitchen and Great Room. This room is rather large and the tiles need to be placed just right so that you achieve
the same grout lines throughout.

Once the tile was completed in the Kitchen, we moved the cabinetry right in. The Islands are simply set into place until the Owner approves of the space along the walkways and then they will be secured. It’s important to allow enough space in the walkways for you to be able to function properly in your kitchen. Our walkway between cabinets is always larger than the 36 inches wide minimum.

This is a true BEFORE picture and this basement bar is
going to be a masterpiece when we are done!

Here you can see we are busy working on the lighting. We will be building custom columns on each end that will match the other columns in the house.

The AFTER shot….
Everyone will want a drink at this basement Bar!
The dramatic lighting mixed with the glass tiles and the white epoxy floor gives this basement a whole new vibe of elegance.

Now the stonework is all done here at Broadwater Creek and we will be bringing in the siding crew. The black mortar with the white window trim really sets things off!

The siding crew has done a phenomenal job putting up the siding on all elevations of the house. Next to do outside is the decking and gutters!

The house is nearing completion and we are busy inside doing
all the beautiful finishing touches. The Interior has been painted, tile has been laid and we are awaiting the Hardwood Floors!

Check out these fabulous stairs with custom metal pickets and the precise
trim work around them. The square newel posts are designed to match
the other square columns in the home. These stairs will be stained the same
color as the sand and finished hardwood yet to be installed.

While the stonework is going on outside we are working on transforming the inside into the Homeowner’s dream. They chose to go with simplest trims throughout the house.
Here you can see our trim carpenters working their magic on one of the columns inside.

Check out the plint boxes on the bottom of the door trims that trim carpenters
have installed. These a precise measurement and cut to be perfect!
